As our weekend summer getaway this year, we went camping in Steamboat Springs. It was about a 3-hour drive from Denver, so it was nice to get a little road trip in as well!

We stayed at the steamboat springs KOA. It was perfect for our family because my husband got the mountain getaway and I got shopping and a pool. There was a free bus that would pick us up and take us downtown Steamboat for shopping! Now that is a vacation.

Jason spend most of his time relaxing in the hammock and reading and playing on his phone. Yes there was Wi-Fi! Which was a plus for us.

The kids loved that there was mini golf, a pool and a family movie night on the weekends. It really was the best of all worlds in the mountains!

This was the longest camping trip we have been on together. We stayed for three nights. It was a bit long with the kids, but we survived. Jason's parents and brother came with us, which was wonderful!

I will say my one awesome Mama hack, was to bring our little potty chair for the kids. It made bathroom not a big deal for our newly potty trained Evan! And better for our girl too, as she was not so sure about peeing in the woods, or going in the public bathroom all weekend. We put the potty chair in the back of Jason truck , or on the ground. Plus, we had it in case there was an emergency on our car trip- Ha!

Overall, a very fun family trip! Happy we got to get away for a long weekend!

I wish we could have gone to KOA campsites when I was a kid!

Oh... and Jason got a new hat! - it very much represents him, Ha!

I love summer!!
