Happy New Year!

It is hard to believe it is 2020!! Wowza! What a quick year it was. I feel like we have to prepare ourselves for another quick Year. I've heard it said. The days are long, but the years are short... truth!

Just to take a quick minute to reflect on 2019... I would the "highlights" of my year definitely came from the lives of my children... I guess that's how being a parent goes! Lol!

My son grew up so much this year and participated in a bike race and even got a little trophy. My daughter got to play a baby flower in the City production of "Alice in Wonderland" and takes dance lessons! My daughter started really learning read, and that is one of the best feelings as a homeschool mom! It is so neat how much the kids grow and change just in one year. I'm so proud of them!

As far as 2019, I will say that I was proud of myself to stop waiting on other people to make me happy. True happiness can come from God alone!

So this year, if there is something I wanted to go to (and it was free or super cheap), I went! If other people don't want to come, I can go alone. I've even stopped asking most people... I've learned to have fun alone, be brave alone and make new friends!!

One of the coolest things I did this year was learning to country dance. I can do several country dances and even have some regular friends to dance with. Yay!
